Sarah Moon
Flute
Sarah Moon is a Toronto-based flutist with an active career as both performer and educator. She is the principal flute of the Ontario Philharmonic and a member of Blythwood Winds, a professional woodwind quintet in the Greater Toronto Area. She teaches at Queen’s University in Kingston, where she shares her passion for contemporary and classical repertoire with the next generation of musicians. From 2016 to 2018, Sarah served as principal flutist with the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra and taught at the University of Saskatchewan. Her previous orchestral engagements include Symphony Nova Scotia (2008–2010) and Orquesta Filarmónica de Jalisco in Guadalajara, Mexico (2014). In 2019, she returned to perform Christos Hatzis’ Departure with the Saskatoon Symphony. As a recitalist, Sarah has recently performed at the Isabel Bader Centre for the Arts and the Arts and Letters Club in Toronto. She holds a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master’s from the Manhattan School of Music.
