Position Summary
Edmonton Opera is seeking a creative and results-driven Digital Marketing Coordinator to enhance our social media presence, engage online audiences, and support digital marketing initiatives. This role will be instrumental in increasing awareness, engagement, and attendance at our productions and events by leveraging social media platforms, content creation, and digital marketing strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management
Develop and execute a strategic social media content plan across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms as needed.
Create, schedule, and publish engaging content (graphics, videos, reels, stories, and copy) that aligns with the Edmonton Opera brand and marketing goals.
Monitor social media channels, respond to comments/messages, and foster online community engagement.
Analyze social media performance metrics and adjust strategies based on insights and trends.
Content Creation & Digital Storytelling
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop compelling digital campaigns that highlight productions, artists, and behind-the-scenes content.
Capture live content at events, rehearsals, and performances to create real-time engagement opportunities.
Work with designers, photographers, and videographers to produce high-quality multimedia content.
Digital Advertising & Analytics
Manage paid social media advertising campaigns, optimizing for audience engagement, conversions, and ticket sales.
Track and analyze digital performance data, creating reports with actionable insights to enhance marketing efforts.
Implement SEO best practices for digital content to improve visibility and engagement.
Website & Email Marketing Support
Assist in maintaining and updating website content to reflect upcoming productions and events.
Support email marketing campaigns through content creation, audience segmentation, and performance tracking.
Qualifications & Skills
2+ years of experience in digital marketing, social media management, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
Experience with content creation tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and video editing software.
Familiarity with digital advertising (Facebook Ads, Google Ads) and analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite).
Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
Passion for arts, culture, and live performance is an asset.
