FUND DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT (GRANT WRITING & RESEARCH)
Fund Development Assistant (Grant Writing & Research)
Position: Fund Development Assistant (Grant Writing & Research)
Company: Edmonton Opera Association
Location: Edmonton, Alberta
Job Type: Full Time
About Us
Founded in 1963, Edmonton Opera is dedicated to producing great performances that showcase the powerful emotions of opera. Research tells us the arts are essential to healthy, vibrant communities, and our experience working alongside our patrons, donors, cast, crew, vendors, volunteers, partners (and our incredible team!) means we see this in action every day. We are proud of the social and economic benefits we provide to our region as we create art and experiences that resonate across communities.
VISION
Art and experiences that resonate beyond communities.
Perhaps now more than ever, our offerings must acknowledge, seek to understand, and work to represent the multiple and diverse communities that make up our world. As communities near and far seek to navigate differences, engage in respectful conflict, and find peaceful common ground, the need for the arts to remain a place of imagination, experience, and expression is paramount, particularly for our future leaders and community builders. Not only that, but the arts bring much needed beauty into the world. This is no small contribution to the creation of joyful, vibrant communities.
MISSION
We honor the traditions, explore the boundaries, and embrace the evolution of opera.
Opera continues to evolve, as it has done throughout history. Like any art form, opera will only resonate with the many communities that make up our world when it reflects the aesthetic, cultural, political, social, and philosophical themes of the day. This has always been the case. Edmonton Opera has a rich history, and we celebrate this history. Our desire is to stay true to our past while at the same time creating a bold new future.
