DIE FLEDERMAUS
northern alberta jubilee auditorium
November 7,9, & 12
Step into the world of a local community theatre company as they come together to stage Die Fledermaus, with all the hilarity and drama that unfolds when artists know each other a little too well. As they rehearse, personal conflicts and backstage antics bring unexpected humor, setting the stage for an unforgettable performance.
When the curtain rises on Act II, you’ll be transported to Prince Orlofsky’s underground dance party—where traditional Viennese ball gowns are traded for leather, latex, and fishnets. Amidst the pulsating energy of this modern, edgy setting, the iconic characters of Die Fledermaus come to life in a dazzling spectacle.
Directed by our Artistic Director, Joel Ivany, and conducted by our Music Director, Simon Rivard, this operetta features the exceptional talents of the Edmonton Opera Chorus and the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra. Whether you’re a seasoned opera lover or a curious newcomer, Die Fledermaus promises to be an experience you won’t want to miss.
