THE EDMONTON OPERA

Edmonton Opera has two programs dedicated to nurturing and empowering emerging artists.

The Emerging Artist Residency Program, in partnership with the Azrieli Foundation, and the Rumbold Vocal Prize, in collaboration with Grace and Arnold Rumbold, provide up-and-coming opera singers with hands-on experience — not only the artist side, but also the administrative and technical demands of full opera productions.

“The future is today. The work we’re doing at Edmonton Opera will elevate the next generation of artists who are trained to work in this vibrant industry. Opera is going through a much-needed change, and in order for singers to succeed, they need our support.” – says Joel Ivany, company’s Artistic Director.
