LOVE AND LAUGHTER ON THE HIGH SEAS
Set sail on the voyage of a lifetime with the quirky crew of HMS Pinafore! This worldwide favourite Gilbert and Sullivan operetta puts a nautical spin on the classic “boy meets girl, girl’s grumpy father gets in the way” story. When lower-class sailor Ralph Rackstraw falls in love with Josephine, the Captain’s daughter, mayhem ensues as the two lovebirds try to elope…while at sea!
Edmonton Opera presents a delightful production of this topsy-turvy journey, reimagined in the extravagant 1920s Jazz Age by Cinderella director Robert Herriot. With jazzy new musical arrangements by Ed Windels and foot tapping choreography, you are invited for an evening of spectacular entertainment aboard the HMS Pinafore!
