How do I book my class to attend a Student Dress Rehearsal performance?

I’m not sure yet how many tickets I need. Can I still reserve tickets now?
Absolutely! Simply complete a booking form to reserve tickets. Please include an estimated number of attendees on your form.
How are groups assigned seating?
Seating will be assigned based on availability, group size, and in the order we received your booking. We cannot guarantee or reserve specific areas or rows of seating in the theatre, except for patrons with mobility requirements. If a member of your group has specific mobility requirements, please let us know as soon as possible.
My group has never been to the Opera before, what can we expect?
The Student Dress Rehearsal is a great opportunity for students to experience Opera as an art form. All performances have English translation projected above the stage so that audience members can follow along with the story. We have an education guide available on our website if you would like to study the Opera before the performance date. As with all performances we ask that you be respectful of the other patrons attending the performance, and of the Jubilee staff and facilities.
When do I have to give my final ticket numbers?
Does your group have to comply with Net30 terms to pay by cheque? If so, we need your final numbers before we can process and issue your final invoice for payment. If your group is paying by credit card please notify us of your final numbers no later than two weeks before the performance date. After this date we cannot guarantee that additional tickets will be seated in the same area as your group.
When is payment due for tickets?
If your group is paying by cheque, we need your final attendance numbers no later than 6 weeks prior to the performance date in order to comply with Net30 terms for your invoice. If you are paying by credit card we require full payment no later than one week before the performance date. If you are booking your group within one week of the performance, please call our box office to make arrangements and to see if there is space for your group.
Can I pay for my tickets on the day of the performance?
Your group must be paid in full in order to be seated and watch the performance. If you are not paid in full by the date of the performance you will not be allowed into the theatre. In order to process your booking we must have full payment one week in advance of the performance. If you need to make special arrangements please call our box office for information.
Does my group have specific seating or is it general admission?
For all mainstage operas at the Jubilee Auditorium, tickets are assigned seats. Please see more information in the ‘How are groups assigned seating?’ section.
Where can I pick up my tickets?
Tickets will be available starting an hour before the performance in the Jubilee lobby. We will have a will-call table where you can pick up tickets for your group. One person must collect all the tickets for your group, and distribute them.
Are food and drink allowed in the theatre?
You can bring packed lunches/snacks and bottled drinks, but these are to be consumed only in the lobby area during intermission. Eating and drinking inside the theatre is not permitted. School bags and coats may be left in the lobby during the performance. Please make sure to clean up after yourselves, and leave the lobby as clean as you found it.
When should I arrive?
Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the performance.
What parking is available for myself or my bus?
If you’re arriving in a bus please arrive by the front door on 87th Ave, and follow instructions from the University and Jubilee staff. If you are arriving by car you can use the pay parking in the Jubilee parkade, or the nearby paid parking lots on University grounds. There is no parking available by the front door on 87th Ave, except for patrons who require accessible parking.
How do I book a classroom visit?
We are able to offer a limited number of classroom visits per school year. To inquire and make a request for a free classroom visit, please contact email@example.com. Classroom visits are subject to availability.
